Eligibility:
You are a resident AND national of one of the countries on the country list (not necessarily the same country for residence and nationality).
Please note that candidates must reside in one of these countries at the moment of application.
You are not older than 40 years* if you apply for a scholarship to follow a master programme. Or you are not older than 45 years* if you apply for a scholarship to follow a training programme. (* on 1 January 2012).
You have the required English proficiency.
You need a proof of at least 1 year of comprehensive English-based instruction at a university or recognized equivalent.
If not, a TOEFL test is required with a minimum total score of 550 on the paper based test (PBT), or 79 on an internet based test (IBT); or an IELTS test with a minimum overall band score of 6,5; or a proof of another test of similar level as TOEFLE or IELTS.
Professional experience and employment perspectives are not required for a master programme, but they can be a competitive advantage for selection, depending on the programme.
Present employment or reintegration perspectives are required for a training programme.
The candidate must be currently employed or have a written (future) employer’s guarantee of (re)integration in an employment where the acquired knowledge and skills will be immediately applicable.
Earlier applications and scholarships: You do not apply for more than one VLIR-UOS scholarship a year.
You have never received a master scholarship funded by the Belgian government before.

Info Beasiswa Description: The Leonard Berlin Scholarship in Medical Professionalism is intended to support study and research related to medical ethics, medico-legal principles, patient accountability, sensitivity to patient diversity and/or other topics encompassing medical professionalism. The scholarship may be used for study at or outside the scholar’s parent institution, and is open to radiologists at all stages of their careers. The ARRS Research Committee may select up to one scholar annually. Scholars may choose either a one-year program requiring a minimum 50 percent time commitment to be funded at $100,000, or a two-year program requiring a minimum 25 percent time commitment to be funded at $50,000 each year. Up to $20,000 of the funds may be used in a way that will contribute to the scholar’s development and professional advancement, such as tuition and course materials, with the remainder to be used towards salary support. The money may not be spent for the purchase of equipment, or imaging studies. Indirect costs may not be paid from this fund. The scholarship is funded through The Roentgen Fund of the ARRS and made possible in part by support from Dr. Leonard Berlin. The scholarship funds will be paid to the Scholar’s Department. Payments will be made semi-annually on July 1 and January 1 for one-year scholarships, and annually on July 1 for two-year scholarships

Info Beasiswa Description: Endowed award; established by BDO Dunwoody Chartered Accountants and Advisors in Owen Sound in memory of Robin Maria Richardson. Robin was a third year student in the Honours Business Administration program at Laurier. She was 21 when she passed away suddenly in June of 2008. Robin devoted much of her spare time to the Laurier University Charity Kouncil (LUCK) and, despite having some very serious health issues, managed to make the Dean’s Honour Roll in her final year. After completing her third year, Robin came very close to realizing her dream of pursuing her Chartered Accountant designation when she was hired as a summer student by BDO in Owen Sound, Ontario. Robin was proud to be a student of Wilfrid Laurier University and her three years as a student there were some of the happiest years of her short life
